Melondy Doddy-Munoz

As a Fort Worth Native, Melondy is passionate about ensuring a happy, healthy, and prosperous future for underrepresented and under-resourced residents of the Fort Worth community. After working with a large national corporation, Melondy pursed her passion for learning into a career in postsecondary education. As a proud first-generation graduate, Melondy has worked in higher education for programs that emphasize college access with P-20 initiatives. She has continuously served in positions that aim to increase the number of low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students who enter and complete postsecondary education in Tarrant County.  


With an innovative and equity-minded approach, Melondy strives eliminate barriers and deliver a best-in-class experience to educate, encourage, and empower students.


Melondy currently serves as the Senior Director of Strategy and Growth for Tarrant To and Through Partnership (T3). In this role, she executes the organization’s strategic vision by creating evidence-based, data-driven plans and partnerships with county-based ISDs, Institutions of Higher Education, and external stakeholders. Her work is to reach the highest need students and eliminate barriers to ensure all students have an opportunity to attain a postsecondary education.


Melondy previously served as a non-profit Executive Director where she led initiatives serving lower-income women and youth, and survivors of domestic violence seeking vocational training to enter and advance themselves in the workforce. 


Before that, Melondy served at TCU as the acting Director of the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program and the Assistant Director of the TCU College Advising Corps, one of the largest college and career access programs in the nation. During her time at TCU, she became a leader and expert on college readiness and presented at conferences and consulted with organizations around the country to increase K-12/Higher Education partnerships and sharing college advising best practices. Her work experience also includes college access positions at UT Arlington and Texas Wesleyan University.


Melondy holds a B.S. with major in Comparative Religious studies, a M.Ed. with emphasis in Student Development and Leadership in Higher Education, multiple graduate certifications, and is a Ph.D. Candidate in Higher Education Leadership from TCU.


Melondy is also a wife and a mom to two spirited daughters. In her personal time, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family.
